Tranquility in Zaanse Schans

One of my favorite places where I sit down and design. It is tranquil, picturesque and quiet with the exception of the turning of the windmills. The consistent sound becomes a metronome which itself is an artistic form of music.

Sheep roam the vast green fields and the occasional whiff of cheese emits from the cute green houses. Wind pushes the blades that turns the grinder at the bottom, where labour and sweat turns into sweet smelling cheese.

Reminds me of my parents when they were toiling in the fields and tending to the farm animals. Some winters get really cold and the wool coats would keep them warm. It would be cosy sitting around a fireplace in our cottage house and enjoying some mulled wine.

The 2019 Vintage collection was my memory of these times, feeling the warmth of family inside my jacket and the nostalgia of sitting around a fireplace.
