"Melaka" is designed by Mark Vanichi with the modern man in mind.
Melaka is a famous tourist destination in Malaysia with a rich cultural heritage, once under the colonial rule of Portuguese, Dutch and then the British. This design is named as such as it mixes design features across the European cultures like a cocktail. The turn-down collar like the Dutch, buttons after the British, and the off centre zip line inspired by Portuguese fashion of old.
This jacket's outer layer is made from a mix of leather and suede, inner layer lined with broadcloth fabric. The jacket's thickness is best suited for autumn or for transition into a chilly spring.
